Snoqualmie Valley Aquatics Collaborative

9/17/26: The SVAC met on 6/29/26 and learned about the option to form a Park and Recreation Service Area (PRSA). This option would create a new taxing district specifically for pool construction and operation, with boundaries reflecting the full service area. This would create a framework for a more robust and equitable funding plan for a future regional pool.

After discussion, several member agencies expressed interest in having each of their legislative bodies receive updates on the SVAC's work to date and the PRSA option. Valley Pool Together has spent the last few months giving these updates to legislative bodies as follows:

7/14/26: Fall City MPD Commission

7/28/26: North Bend City Council

8/5/26: Si View MPD Commission

9/22/26: Snoqualmie Parks and Public Works Commission

9/24/26: SVSD Board of Directors

These meetings are intended to present information, receive feedback and questions, and provide an opportunity for discussion. They are open to the public, and any records of them are available through public information channels for these agencies.

In response to questions raised during these meetings, Valley Pool Together created several resources, which were also distributed to agencies:

The SVAC will convene again this fall following these meetings to assess next steps. Beginning in September, Valley Pool Together will assume responsibility for facilitating SVAC meetings, with Si View continuing to participate as an agency partner.
